Vinicius Jr Extends Regret to Los Blancos Devotees

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has registered five finishes in 10 Spanish league matches this season.

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his conduct when replaced in Sunday's heated Clasico clash win.

The Brazilian was substituted in the second half and showed his annoyance by walking immediately off the pitch.

He later returned to the bench and, following his team's 2-1 victory, sought to engage the opposition's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury post-match scenes.

"Today I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my response when I was taken off in the Clasico," he shared on social media.

"In the same way as I have already done during this morning's practice, I wish to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the team, and the president.

"Occasionally emotion gets the better of me because I always want to triumph and support my side. My winning mentality stems from the passion I feel for this team and everything it stands for."

He signed for Madrid from Flamengo in recent years for millions and has notched 111 goals in numerous matches.

But his prospects in the Spanish capital is unclear with speculation in the past few months suggesting that the club would think about letting the 25-year-old depart if they were to receive a appropriate bid.

When the winger was substituted on Sunday, TV coverage from network the platform recorded him stating: "Again me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I go, I'm going."

In his latest post on the platform, he stated: "I commit to keep fighting constantly for the welfare of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the very beginning."
